1. Our Commitment

SPEEDEXA (speedexa.site) is designed with privacy as a first principle. The vast majority of our diagnostics run entirely in your browser — no server-side logging of your personal data occurs.

2. What We Collect Locally

Your diagnostic history, theme preference, and recent results are stored in your browser's localStorage under the key speedexa_history and speedexa_theme. This data never leaves your device. You can clear it anytime via the "Clear History" button or by clearing your browser data.

3. Third-Party Services

To measure real network performance, SPEEDEXA connects to:

speed.cloudflare.com — for download, upload, ping, and packet loss measurements. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to those requests.
api.ipify.org / ipapi.co / ipinfo.io — to detect your public IP, ISP, ASN, and geolocation. These services return publicly-available IP intelligence.
dns.google, cloudflare-dns.com, dns.quad9.net — for DNS-over-HTTPS resolution timing.

We do not store the responses from these services on any SPEEDEXA server.

4. Advertising

SPEEDEXA may display third-party advertisements. Ad networks may use cookies to serve relevant ads. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser. We do not share your diagnostic results with advertisers.

5. Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics (e.g., aggregated page-view counts). No personally identifying information is collected, and no fingerprinting is used.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Clear your local diagnostic history at any time.
Block third-party services via your browser or an ad blocker.
Request information about any data we hold about you (email privacy@speedexa.site).

7. Children's Privacy

SPEEDEXA is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent change.
